It is hereby notified for information of all concerned candidates that the last dates for submission of online application forms for JKSET/LASET 2026 have been extended in view of audit and security-related issues of the website that resulted in a delay of five days in the commencement of the online application process.

In order to compensate for the delay and provide adequate opportunity to all eligible candidates to submit their applications, the revised schedule shall be as follows:
Last date for online submission of application forms without late fee 25th August, 2026
Last date for online submission of application forms with late fee 30th August, 2026
Accordingly, all eligible candidates intending to appear in JKSET/LASET 2026 are advised to complete and submit their online application forms within the revised dates mentioned above.
Candidates are further advised to carefully read the prescribed instructions and guidelines and ensure that their application forms are complete in all respects before final submission. Candidates should also ensure that the requisite fee, wherever applicable, is deposited within the stipulated time.

The State Eligibility Test (JKSET/LASET-2026) shall be held on 25th October, 2026 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of candidates for “Appointment as Assistant Professor” in Universities and Colleges of UT of J&K (JKSET) and UT of Ladakh (LASET). The candidates qualifying this test will be eligible for both appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. The University of Kashmir (Nodal Agency) will conduct SET in 41 subjects at three Centers - Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh.
Applicants are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the JKSET/LASET 2026 before filing the online Application Forms.
Date for determining the eligibility of all Candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date of submission of Online Application forms.
Applicants are advised to submit the Online Application Form without waiting for the last date to avoid any kind of inconvenience or last-minute rush or unforeseen difficulties. The JKSET agency will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online applications.
