1. Candidates are advised to carefully read the Detailed Admission Notification before submitting the Online Application Form for the Entrance Test.
2. Submission of the Application Form and appearance in the Entrance Test shall be subject to determination of eligibility for admission to the Programme as per the Admission Policy. Admission shall be granted strictly on the basis of merit obtained in the Entrance Test and fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
3. The Category and Campus once opted for shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances.
4. The benefit of a reserved category can be availed only once.
5. Candidates applying for the M.Ed. Programme are required to first enter their Graduation Examination details under “Qualifying Examination” and thereafter add their B.Ed. details under “Additional Examination Details”.
6. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination (Bachelor’s Degree) but whose result is awaited may also apply provisionally at their own risk and responsibility, subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions, including securing the minimum required percentage by or before the declaration of the Entrance Test result.
However, For 5-year Integrated and 4-year UG Programmes, where eligibility is based on the 12th standard examination, candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination (12th Class) may also apply provisionally, subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions, including securing the minimum required percentage by or before the declaration of the Entrance Test result.
7. Candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of the Application Form. However, they must retain a printed copy of the online submitted Application Form for future reference.
Important Steps for Submission of Online Application Form
1. Candidates must register themselves before submitting the Online Application Form. To register, click on the link “Proceed to Register as Student” provided below. Candidates are advised to carefully preserve their Username and Password for future use.
2. In case a candidate forgets or loses the password, the “Forgot Password” option may be used to reset it.
3. After successful registration, log in using the Username and Password to submit the Online Application Form.
4. Enter your “Qualifying Examination Registration No.” and Click “Search”. You will either get pre-filled information or you need to enter manually the required detail.
5. Enter the required details under “Personal Details, Qualifying Examination Details, Additional Details (if any)”. Under the “Qualifying Examination” section, candidates who have completed their Graduation under NEP-2020 are required to select the following:
a) For 3-Year Graduates: Select “TYUP” and choose the subject in which you have earned a minimum of 12 credits.
b) For 4-Year Graduates: Select “FYUP” and choose the subject in which you have earned a minimum of 12/20 credits.
After entering the details, click on “Save and Move Next”.
6. Mention the credits of each subject given in the previous step and Click “Save and Move
Next”.
7. Select the desired Programme (Programme Codes with description) , Preferences, (wherever required) [After last date the Preference of
Campus/College selected will not be updated/changed]. Click “Save and Move Next”.
8. If there is any variation click on “Previous” button, make necessary corrections and then
upload the latest passport size photograph, specimen signature, marks certificates and other
related documents in relevant rows. Click “Save and Submit”.

Candidates are advised to select the Programme(s) carefully, as no changes or additions shall be allowed after final submission of the Application Form. In case a candidate wishes to apply for additional Programme(s) after submission, a fresh Application Form must be submitted using the same Username and Password along with payment of separate application fee(s).
10. Deposit the non-refundable Application Fee of:
Rs. 900/- for one Programme; +
Rs. 250/- for each additional Programme applied through the same Application Form.
11. Ensure that the Application Status shows “Fee Received” after payment; otherwise, the application shall be treated as incomplete.
12. Candidates are advised to submit their applications well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues or heavy internet traffic. The Directorate shall not be responsible for failure in submission of applications due to last-minute rush or technical reasons.
13. Candidates applying under Sports Category must obtain a valid Sports Category Certificate from the Directorate of Physical Education & Sports, University of Kashmir.
